4 Days 2 Times Gorilla Trekking Experience – Double Tracking of a lifetime in Uganda

4 Days 2 times Gorilla trekking experience is a life-changing experience. 2 times Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park it covers an area of 321 sq km and is among the oldest forests lasting over 25,000 years. You will be able to trek one of the 19 habituated mountain gorilla groups. Besides the Gorillas, you will also have an opportunity to see other primates such as the red-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, baboons, black and white Colobus monkeys among others.

This forest is also home to 130 mammals, 51 reptiles, 310 butterfly species, 27 species of frogs, geckos, chameleons, 163 tree species, 104 fern species, 1000 flowering plants, as well as over 350 species of birds such as the hornbills and the Turacos. Gorilla trekking takes around 2 to 8 hours, which is worth it as those into hiking will have a great time climbing up and about the rolling hills, and going through the lush vegetation. You will also enjoy the magical lake known as Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depart Kampala/Entebbe for your 2 times Uganda Gorilla Trekking safari which takes about 8 hours drive. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park located in southwestern Uganda. The journey is quite a long drive but worth it because you get to enjoy the countryside scenery, some of the most beautiful natures images all the way to the Virunga massive. Keep your cameras near to capture that beautiful moment. You will have an en route stopover at the Equator crossing for the photographic and simple experiment before continuing to Mbarara town for Lunch. After lunch, you will embark on your scenic drive to Bwindi National Park.

4 Days 2 Times Gorilla Trekking ExperienceDay 2: First Gorilla tracking and community walk.

After early morning breakfast, you will drive to the Park headquarters for registration and joining others for a gorilla trekking briefing about the dos and the don’ts during your 2 times Uganda Gorilla trekking safari tour. Proceed for the memorable adventure in the forest, gorilla trekking may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to the park headquarters and then to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you may go for a community walk in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained and given tales of their unique culture.

Day 3: Second Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest

2 times Gorilla tracking on this day, following the same procedure like on the first gorilla tracking adventure, you will follow a different gorilla group, different from the one track on the previous day. On return from the tracking, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the world’s fresh water lake, free of Bilharzia.

Overnight at Arcadia cottages/Bunyonyi overland camp.

Day 4: Transfer to Kampala.

Have morning breakfast and then you will enjoy a boat ride along the lake and rotate around the many islands on the lake and have a scenic view of the well-terraced hills around the lake. Later set off for your journey back to Kampala with stopovers for photography and lunch reaching late in the afternoon, and you will be transferred to your hotel/Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
