We at Msafiri tours provide real responsibility for the preservation of Uganda wildlife and plants as well as a sustainable livelihood for local communities in areas where we work. The impact of tourism in Uganda needs to be managed in order to remain within sensible limits.
Most tour companies offer safaris that involve guests arriving at the airport, getting into a 4-wheel drive vehicles and travelling long distances along bad roads to try and find the “Big Five” animals. The holidaymaker takes as many photos as possible and then gets back on the plane and heads home. Msafiri Tours believes this is not much different from a visit to a zoo!
Msafiri Tours has successfully realised the vision to change all this by having a Uganda eco tourism policy, taking visitors to places that represent real Uganda and give them experiences that they will remember for the rest of their life, whilst helping to improve the livelihood of the local people.
